Risky Faith - When God Unexpectedly Shows up for Dinner

We are going to wade into Genesis chapter 18. I (Pastor Bob) encourage you to read both Genesis 18 and 19 in preparation for the sermon since they are intricately tied to together. The story begins with Christ showing up unexpectedly for dinner (18) and ends with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (19), which we will not get to until after Christmas. Christ, along with two of His mighty angels, showed up unexpectedly for a leisurely dinner. Imagine that! During the course of the meal, Christ gave some great news to old Abraham and Sarah. One believed. One did not. We will take a close look at this account and what it means in our walk of faith.
